AI transparency: how DCVault is written

DCVault is developed freely and openly, so it is only fair to be open about how it was made too. AI tools helped create this wiki. This page explains where they were used and where they were not.

What AI helped with

  • Research and drafts (then reviewed by people)
  • Translation of the German pages
  • Code of the components (tables, glossary, search, analytics)
  • Design such as the social card, based on the logo

What we did

The facts are ours. All of the wiki's content about Direct Connect was reviewed and corrected by people. Nothing the AI drafts goes live without us reviewing it, deciding, and taking responsibility for it. The logo and the brand are the team's, not the AI's.

Which AI

Claude, by Anthropic.

Why

We publish everything under the CC BY-SA license and ask the community to take part. By being open about our own use of AI, we hold ourselves to the same standard, following the spirit of the Software Freedom Conservancy's guidelines on AI in free software.
